David Banfield is an artist from the UK, now based at the foothills of Mount Kenya, where he works from his private studio.

His practice spans decades and is grounded in craftsmanship. With experience across painting, carpentry, and knife making, he brings a deep understanding of structure, material, and form to every canvas. This foundation informs a body of work defined by precision, balance, and restraint.

Painting remains central to his practice. Each piece is developed slowly and intentionally, guided by process rather than trend. Surface, weight, and composition are considered with care, resulting in works that feel composed and enduring.

Created entirely by hand in his Mount Kenya studio, these paintings are designed to hold presence within a space. They are intended to anchor interiors with quiet strength and permanence.
